Over the last couple years, there are a few projects I have worked on to develop the program and align the program to the Wyoming Community College Commission strategic goal. These projects include:

  • *Recently awarded continuing accreditation for our Paramedic Program until 2029

  • *Alignment with the other Paramedic Programs for course prefix, number, and name

  • *Creation of an EMT Certificate

  • *Creation of a Paramedic Certificate

  • *Creation of an Associates of Applied Science Degree

  • *Added Neonatal Resuscitation Program as standard curriculum

  • *Changed Paramedic Program to a 1-year program versus a 2-year program

  • *Started requiring "Bag-A-Buddy" Exercises for EMT and Paramedic Programs

    • This exercise is where students partner together to provide positive pressure ventilation via a bag-mask device.

      • The exercise shows students the struggles with "bagging" a live patient and highlights weaknesses for students to work through

  • *Creation of and utilization of a standard Student Graduation Record

  • *Started collaborative effort for Dance with EMS Students for Movement Specialty

  • *Started discussions for creation and offering of BAS of EMS from Casper College
