Job Description
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program Director is a full-time, position located on the Casper College Campus in Casper, Wyoming. The EMS Program Director provides academic leadership to students and instructors in the EMS programs. I maintain a climate of open communication, collegiality, and teamwork within the EMS programs, while actively supporting the professional growth and development of our EMS instructors. The EMS Program Director ensures the availability of quality learning opportunities for students, and is the first line of support for student complaints and grievances. My responsibilities include: teaching, curriculum development, instructor assignment, course scheduling, program review, student learning outcomes assessment, student advising and scheduling, professional development, institutional service, and community relations. In addition to instructional responsibilities, I coordinate student clinicals, maintain CAAHEP accreditation standards while working with CoAEMSP, prepare and evaluate our academic year budget, and support innovation for distance education. Working within this position, it is imperative to develop strong partnerships with local first responder allied agencies, state agencies, and national agencies.
